Bob Libby

VP, Fire Protection Engineering at Coffman Engineers

Bob is the vice president of Coffman’s fire protection engineering group, a principal, and a member of the board of directors. Bob also leads Coffman’s ‘consultant college’ for internal leadership development.

As the principal for the fire protection engineering team, Bob has worked with other fire protection leadership to strategically grow and organize the company’s fire protection engineering capabilities on a national and global scale. He has been instrumental in bringing key fire protection professionals to Coffman. Together with the fire protection team, Coffman has landed significant contracts with key clients in the hospitality, industrial, government, and commercial markets.

Bob has extensive experience in the specification, bid, award, installation, management, testing, and acceptance of fire protection systems in commercial buildings. All projects include the sound application of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards, and often exceed minimum code requirements.

Bob has been active in the development of NFPA standards, and has served on technical committees such as NFPA 72 “National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code”, and NFPA 750 “Standard on Water Mist Fire Protection Systems”.
