Jim Conley

Principal, Structural Engineering at Coffman Engineers

Jim is a structural engineering principal in the San Diego office. Jim joined Coffman in October 2017 as part of the merger with Hope-Amundson Structural Engineers. Jim had been with Hope-Amundson since 2000 where he started as an entry level engineer, rising to the role of vice president.

Jim’s expertise is in large complex structures and campuses, specializing in concrete buildings and parking structures. Jim has extensive technical knowledge of current building codes and seismic requirements and is an active member of the structural engineering community.

As a ‘Ramblin’ Reck’ from Georgia Tech, Jim earned his bachelor of science in civil engineering with an emphasis in structural engineering. He went on to attend graduate school at the University of California, San Diego earning a master of science.
