Justin Freeman

VP, CCUS & Hydrogen at Coffman Engineers

Justin is the vice president of Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS) and Hydrogen and leads Coffman’s companywide initiative. He spearheads the market strategy, development of internal capabilities, and management of CCUS and hydrogen projects nationwide.

Justin’s diverse background includes successful CCUS program management and strategy for a multi-national corporation, managing international giga projects, and leading business units through process transformations.

His skill set includes a deep understanding of the oil and gas industry and the application of various CCUS and hydrogen solutions to cost-effectively decarbonize market sectors. This experience also extends to facility design, geology, drilling and completions, and pipeline infrastructure.

Justin has a history of successfully developing corporate programs and leading cross-functional teams large and small to deliver a wide range of objectives. This experience includes cost reduction through execution studies, scope deletion, contract renegotiation, developing greenfield positions into producing assets, and serving as principal investigator on a DOE/NETL transformation capture technology pilot trial. Throughout these programs, Justin has used his skills in financial modeling, economic analysis, and incorporating operation science to develop robust programs that deliver high return outcomes.
