Steve Fields

Steve Fields is a Senior Director of Scientific Services at Cogent Scientific, where they serve as the external scientific face for the organization, building relationships with clients. Fields is a creative synthetic organic chemist with extensive leadership experience in managing in-house scientists and CROs. They hold a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a B.S. with honors in Chemistry from Bucknell University. Notably, Fields co-invented a "Novel Greener Method" for producing sucralose and managed multiple Chemistry and Biology CROs to create a Discovery Pipeline at AgriMetis LLC, resulting in a patented fungicide.
