Michael C. Moed

Michael C. Moed is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in software development, particularly in machine vision technologies. Since July 1999, Moed has held multiple leadership roles at Cognex Corporation, currently serving as Senior Director of Engineering for Platform Software, overseeing a global team of over 100 developers. Previous positions include Senior Director of Engineering for Advanced Vision Technology and Director of Engineering for Vision Sensors, where Moed was instrumental in the development of innovative products and technology partnerships. Prior to Cognex, Moed worked at NCR Human Interface Technology Center as a Senior Consulting Engineer and at United Parcel Service R&D as Research and Development Manager, focusing on machine vision systems and package identification technologies. Moed holds a PhD and MSE in Computer & Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a BSE in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
