Greg Brooks

Greg Brooks has over 30 years of work experience in the software engineering field. Greg started their career in 1989 as a Consultant and Team Lead at Hutchison Smiley Limited. Greg then worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Microsoft in 1988. In 1990, they became a Software Engineer at SoftKnowledge. In 1997, they became a Senior Software Architect at Spectra Securities Software. In 1998, they worked as a Team Lead and Senior Software Engineer at Retek (acquired by Oracle). In 2003, they co-founded and became a Senior Software Engineer at LogicBlox. In 2012, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at TerraGo Technologies. In 2013, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Lancope (acquired by Cisco). In 2016, they worked as a Team Lead and Senior Software Engineer at Cisco. Most recently, in 2018, they became the VP Software Engineering at Cognira.

Greg Brooks obtained a B.A.Sc. in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo between 1984 and 1989. Greg has also obtained various certifications from Coursera, including Convolutional Neural Networks (February 2018), Neural Networks and Deep Learning (November 2017), Principles of Reactive Programming (June 2015), and Machine Learning (April 2015).
