Tom Canning

Tom Canning is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in investment and sales leadership across various technology companies. Currently serving as a Partner at Beacon Capital since January 2022, Canning also holds investor roles at multiple firms including Humanising Autonomy, Cognism, Zinklar, Crimson Education, and Lifebit. Additionally, Canning acts as an Investor and Board Observer at Zinklar and Humanising Autonomy. Prior to current engagements, Canning was the Vice President of Global Sales IoT and Devices at Canonical Ltd. from May 2017 to December 2021, and held various vice president positions in sales at Planview, Inc., where responsibility spanned EMEA and APAC regions, as well as North America. Early career involvement included an advisory role at Cisco, following the acquisition of ArchRock. Educational qualifications comprise a Venture Capital degree from the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law, alongside a BASc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ottawa.
