Design System Lead at Cognite

Liz Brenner has a diverse range of work experience. Liz is currently working as the Design System Lead at Cognite, a position they started in May 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Aigonix AS as the UX Design Lead from May 2022 to April 2023, where they led the design work for the Studio platform and played a key role in user research, design, testing, and building a design culture within the company.

Before Aigonix AS, Liz was a Freelance UX-UI Designer from January 2020 to January 2021, where they created and designed a financial tracking app. In addition, they worked at Tom Stringer Design Partners as a Registered Interior Designer from July 2014 to December 2019, leading the design and development of high-end residential homes and managing projects generating over $1M in revenue. Furthermore, they worked at Deb Reinhart Interior Design Group Inc. as a Designer in early 2014, overseeing design implementation and coordinating construction details.

Liz's work experience also includes a role as a Technical Manager at Quible & Associates, P.C. from June 2012 to December 2013. Overall, Liz Brenner has demonstrated their expertise and success in design, project management, and building user-driven design cultures throughout their career.

Liz Brenner completed their education from 2007 to 2011 at the University of Mary Washington, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Psychology. Following this, from 2014 to 2016, they attended Harrington College of Design and earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Design. In addition to their formal education, Liz Brenner has also obtained several certifications. In October 2018, they obtained the NCIDQ certification from the National Council for Interior Design Qualification. In 2022, they completed two online courses through Coursera, namely "Programming Foundations with JavaScript, HTML and CSS" in December and "Introduction to Front-End Development" in September.
