Neringa Altanaite

Neringa Altanaite has extensive work experience in the field of software development and engineering. Neringa is currently working at Cognite as a Tech lead and Senior Software Engineer since July 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Cognite as a Tech lead and Software Engineer from August 2021 to July 2023.

Before joining Cognite, Neringa worked at Accenture as an Application Development Senior Analyst from June 2019 to August 2021. Neringa also held the position of an Application Development Analyst at Accenture from October 2017 to June 2019.

Neringa's career started at Simula Research Laboratory, where they worked as a Master Student from August 2016 to June 2017. Prior to that, they had an internship as a Research Engineer at Simula Research Laboratory from June 2015 to August 2015. During this internship, they were involved in High-Performance Computing, specifically porting a real-world simulator of cardiac cells from C to CUDA and implementing a CUDA version of an explicit finite-difference solver for the 3D heat equation.

Neringa Altanaite pursued their education in the field of computational science and mathematics. Neringa completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computational Science from the University of Oslo (UiO) between 2012 and 2015. Following this, they furthered their studies and obtained a Master of Science degree in Computational Science from the University of Oslo (UiO) between 2015 and 2017. In 2016, Neringa Altanaite participated in a semester abroad program at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne), focusing on computational science and computer science.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Neringa Altanaite also acquired various certifications. Neringa obtained a CDF Basics Completion Certificate and a Working with CDF Basics Completion Certificate from Cognite Academy in August 2021. In October 2020, they completed a Machine Learning course and received a certificate from Coursera. Furthermore, Neringa Altanaite attained the Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft in December 2019.
