Matt is a life sciences consultant with expertise in protein design, synthetic biology, and molecular evolution. He has an undergraduate degree in Physics from a UVa, a PhD in Biophysics from UCSF, and has held postdoctoral positions at UCSF and NYU. Outside of academia, Matt has worked as a patent scientist at Davis Wright Tremaine, and currently runs a small electronics engineering startup on the side.
