Michelle Bizzell is a Product Owner at Cognito. Prior to that, they were an Associate Consultant at Capgemini, where they worked on effectively defining and communicating client requirements, managing the delivery of Agile projects, and testing software delivery for quality. Michelle was also the Community Service Coordinator responsible for connecting Columbia area employees to local volunteer opportunities and planning the annual Cares day of service for over 100 local employees.
Before their time at Capgemini, Michelle interned at Celestial Seasonings as a Marketing Intern. There, they analyzed campaign performance across Facebook and Instagram, engaged in social listening on Twitter, and responded to customers. Michelle also researched and prepared a competitive audit for the marketing team to assess strategies for advertising. Additionally, Michelle managed an intern group project to improve new product process efficiency.
Michelle’s first internship was with eZanga as a Content Marketing Intern. There, they were responsible for creating content for the company blog and social media platforms.
After their internship with eZanga, Michelle became the Social Media Coordinator at Methodist Student Network. In this role, they created and executed social media strategy, managed social media platforms, and created graphic design content.
Michelle began their professional journey as a Student Assistant at the Honors College at the University of South Carolina. In this role, they provided administrative support to the Honors College staff and assisted with events and programs.
They are on a team with Chelsea Reeser - Product Owner, Cormac O'Connor - Product Owner, and Cody Harris - Product Owner. Their manager is Jamie Thomas, Product Manager.
