Tom Keating

Tom Keating is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in technology development for individuals with cognitive disabilities. As Co-Founder and CEO of Cognitopia since 2003, Tom has specialized in creating self-management applications aimed at enhancing personal organization and wellness for this community. In addition to this role, Tom serves as Development Director at Assistech Systems, focusing on innovative life management applications, and leads the Eugene Research Institute as Executive Director, where efforts revolve around supporting community living for individuals with cognitive disabilities. As a mentor at Fertilab Thinkubator, Tom aids early-stage startups in business development. Educationally, Tom holds a Ph.D. in Special Education and Rehabilitation from the University of Oregon, attained between 1990 and 1993. Prior caregiving experience included a significant role as a sibling caregiver for a brother with autism and intellectual disabilities from 1981 until 2012.
