Michael Skolnik has over 16 years of work experience. Michael began their professional career in 2004 as a Business Analyst at OfficeMax, where they collected and summarized sales, inventory, and other data down to SKU level out of SAP Business Warehouse and PR2. Michael used MS Access to perform market basket analysis, using SKU lists and daily transaction databases. In 2005, they joined Fortna as a Sr. Business Analyst, where they performed data analysis on SKU-level order data, including daily volume and velocity analysis, in Excel and MS SQL Server databases to aid in warehouse profiling process and determination of media allocation of SKUs. Michael combined order data with SKU cube data to determine optimal storage media locations for SKUs. In 2018, they became a Client Strategy Consultant Analyst at CBRE, where they developed web-based warehouse and distribution center modeling software using Python Flask with a PostgreSQL data warehouse. Michael used SQLAlchemy ORM to query PostgreSQL from Python and develop the models. Michael also used the pandas library for quick analysis and SQL for more in-depth analysis. In 2020, they joined The JM Smucker Company through Links Technology Solutions as a Vue.js Developer, where they led a team in developing a web-based item/SKU analysis tool with a Vue front-end and Python Flask back-end with SQLAlchemy. Michael also created RESTful API endpoints in Flask that returned data from Oracle and PostgreSQL to the Vue front-end and taught team members JavaScript, CSS, Vue, and Python. Most recently, in 2021, they joined CognitOps as an Implementation Engineer.

Michael Skolnik obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Ohio University in 2001, followed by a Master of Arts in Economics from the same institution in 2002.
