Chris Ullrich has over 25 years of experience in the technology industry. Chris began their career in 1995 as a Mission Analyst in Flight Dynamics at Telesat Canada. In 1998, they moved to Virtual Technologies Inc. as a Senior Computational Mathematician. In 2000, they joined Immersion Corporation as a Senior Director of Research, where they identified new opportunity areas, conducted research and promoted new technologies and IP to corporate business leaders. Chris also served as the Vice President of Product Development (interim) for the Virtual Reality Surgical Simulation business unit. In 2011, they left Immersion Corporation to become the Technical Lead/CTO at Haptify.com, where they managed all technical operations. Chris later returned to Immersion Corporation as the Vice President of User Experience and Analytics, the Vice President of UX and the Chief Technology Officer. In 2020, Chris co-founded the Haptics Industry Forum and currently serves on the Board of Directors as a Founding Board Member. Chris is also the Co-Chair of the Enterprise XR working group. In 2022, they will join Cognixion as the Chief Technology Officer.
Chris Ullrich obtained a M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from The University of British Columbia between 1996 and 1998. Chris then obtained a B.Math in Applied Math and Physics from the University of Waterloo between 1990 and 1995. In 2021, they obtained a certification in Computational Neuroscience from Coursera. In 2019, they obtained a certification in Deep Learning Specialization from Coursera.
