Marcie Cates

Marcie Cates is an experienced community manager currently working at COhatch since May 2023. With a long-standing role as an independent cabi stylist since July 2010, Marcie specializes in providing personalized shopping experiences for clients. Previous positions include contributor and PR manager at Powerful Publishing, where Marcie collaborated with the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation and managed the children's book "Grit, Not Grits." As program coordinator for Girls on the Run of Central Indiana, Marcie liaised with schools to implement the program, and extensive volunteer work occurred between 2007 and 2017. Earlier career highlights include serving as special events director for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation - Indiana Chapter, managing fundraising efforts, and as director of special events for the NCAA, co-leading the annual awards gala. Marcie’s professional journey began with an administrative support role at Cook & Associates, following studies at Purdue University.
