Dave Semak

Dave Semak has extensive experience in engineering and project management roles in various industries. Dave currently works as the Head of Engineering and Project Management for Laser Systems at Coherent Laser, a world leader in laser-based technology. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of Engineering and Operations at 5ME, LLC, where they oversaw the development and implementation of cryogenic machining systems. Dave has also held leadership positions at Michigan Custom Machines, Stanley Black & Decker, ACE Controls Inc., Mercury Manufacturing Company, General Motors, and Emerson Industrial Automation. Throughout their career, Dave has demonstrated expertise in product design, project management, and technical leadership.

Dave Semak has a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University. Dave also holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations from Walsh College and another Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oakland University. Additionally, they completed training in Business Leadership from Dale Carnegie Training, Visual Basic .NET from Oakland Community College, and Sales Strategies from Miller Heiman. Dave has also obtained various certifications including Personal Fitness Trainer from the International Sports Sciences Association, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center, Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute, Trackday Driving Instructor from Motorsport Safety Foundation, and Private Aircraft Pilot, Instrument (IFR), Complex & High Performance rated from the Federal Aviation Administration.
