Erick Lin

Erick Lin has a strong background in computer science and mathematics with a Bachelor of Science degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology, earned between 2014 and 2017. Currently serving as a Member of Technical Staff (MTS) at Cohesity since May 2017, Erick previously held positions such as Engineering Intern at the same company and Undergraduate Researcher at the Georgia Tech Institute for Robotics and Intelligent Machines. Research responsibilities included characterizing quantum representations of hidden Markov models, implementing neural networks, and deriving a faster Gaussian process regression model. Erick also contributed as a Student Researcher in the Distributed Computing Group at Texas A&M University, supported by an NSF REU grant, and completed a software development internship at LAMP Camp, developing a web application for order information processing. Additionally, research experience as a Simons High School Research Scholar at Stony Brook University involved modeling human pattern recognition under varying levels of ambiguity.
