Aileen O'Sullivan

Aileen O'Sullivan is an ecologist with 20 years of experience in implementing nature conservation within commercial forest management. Currently, they serve as the Environment Technical Lead at Coillte, where they design environmental assessment procedures and manage a team focused on habitat restoration projects. Aileen has also developed BioClass, a framework for prioritizing biodiversity areas in forestry, and has extensive experience in the rehabilitation of peatlands and native forests. They began their career as a freelance ecologist and later worked as a Wildlife Inspector for the National Parks and Wildlife Service. Aileen holds a BA and a PhD in Botany from Trinity College, Dublin.
