David Smith

David Smith is a research associate at Asklepios BioPharmaceutical, Inc. with extensive experience in DNA manufacturing. Previous roles include production associate at coIMMUNE, where David was involved in the development of cell-based and DNA-based therapies, gaining proficiency in cGMP regulations. As a graduate research assistant at North Carolina State University, David studied the protein UDP-glucose 6-dehydrogenase in relation to prostate cancer, generating and purifying recombinant proteins and developing various assays. David's earlier research experience includes a summer fellowship at Universidad de Cádiz focusing on alternative splicing in European sea bass and microbiology research at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. David holds a Master's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
