Jacob Thornton currently serves as Chief Executive Officer at Pierre since January 2023 and has been a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Coinbase since February 2018, where responsibilities include leading the client platform team and replatforming the organization onto React Native. Prior to his roles at Pierre and Coinbase, Jacob co-founded Bumpers, serving as Engineer Manager from August 2016 to February 2018, and worked as a Software Engineer at Medium from June 2013 to July 2016, as well as at Twitter from March 2010 to May 2013, and threadsy from November 2008 to March 2010 in both design and software engineering capacities. Jacob is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Sociology at The New School, ongoing since 2010.
