Janey Chen

Janey Chen is the Director of Payment Risk at Coinbase, where they lead initiatives in user onboarding, payments, and risk management. Prior to this role, Janey held positions as a Staff Software Engineer at Airbnb, where they contributed to various payment systems, and as a Senior Software Engineer at Square, focusing on payment technologies. Janey also worked as a Software Engineer at Schlumberger, developing control systems for underground robots. They earned a PhD in Computer Science with a focus on Bioinformatics, as well as a Master's degree in Programming Languages, both from Rice University.
