Niran Babalola is a Senior Software Engineer at Coinbase since January 2024, engaged in building Base. Prior to this role, Niran founded Panvala, a cash-back offers platform, where Niran designed the architecture and developed a DAO governance system using Ethereum smart contracts from April 2018 to June 2023. Niran also served as a Product Engineer at ConsenSys from September 2015 to January 2020, contributing to early Ethereum-based blockchain applications. From September 2013 to September 2015, Niran worked at TabbedOut as a Product Manager and Senior Software Engineer, developing web services and mobile applications. As Director of Technology for the Texas Tribune from October 2009 to June 2012, Niran led the engineering team that maintained the organization's innovative reputation, and earlier worked as a Software Engineer on the initial technology foundation of the publication. Niran began a career in web development as a Web Development Specialist at the Austin American-Statesman in 2009. Niran is an alumnus of Stanford University.
