Philip Martin

Philip Martin serves as the Chief Security Officer at Coinbase since April 2016, leading a global team focused on various aspects of security, including cybersecurity and business resilience. In addition to this role, Philip contributes as a Venture Advisor at Lytical Ventures, LLC and serves as an Investor and Advisor at SVCI - Silicon Valley CISO Investments. Previously, Philip was the Information Security Lead at Palantir Technologies, where foundational contributions were made to the information security team. A former Counterintelligence Agent in the US Army, Philip also held positions as IT Manager at A9.com and Software Engineer at Sun Microsystems. Philip holds a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University and an Associate's degree in Arabic from the Defense Language Institute.
