Ryan Vangrack

Ryan VanGrack currently serves as Vice President of Legal and Global Head of Litigation at Coinbase, a position held since September 2024. Prior to this role, Ryan was General Counsel at Citadel Securities from October 2021 to September 2024, overseeing legal and regulatory affairs and serving as Corporate Secretary. Ryan's experience also includes a tenure as Managing Director & Senior Deputy General Counsel at Citadel, where management of legal matters and regulatory oversight was key. Earlier, Ryan worked as a Senior Advisor to the Chair at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, advising on various regulatory issues, and as Deputy Associate Counsel at The White House, where oversight of the Cabinet nomination process was a primary responsibility. Ryan's legal career began at Williams & Connolly LLP, following a judicial clerkship with Judge Michael Daly Hawkins on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Academic credentials include a BA in Economics from Duke University and a JD from Harvard Law School.
