Jon Lerner has a varied work experience, beginning with an internship at IBM in 2006 as an XML/XSLT Tester. Jon then had an internship at BlackBerry as an Interoperability Tester. In 2007, they had an internship at Apple as a Software Engineer. In 2008, they had an internship at Google as a Software Engineer. In 2014, they returned to Google as a Software Engineer. In 2009, they became a Co-Founder and CTO of TextNow, and in 2017, they became a Co-Founder and CEO of CoinTracker. At CoinTracker, they are responsible for enabling seamless cryptocurrency portfolio tracking and tax compliance, and today the platform tracks over $20B in crypto assets.
Jon Lerner attended the University of Waterloo from 2005 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Engineering. Jon then attended Y Combinator in 2018. Additionally, they have obtained four course certificates from Coursera, including Robotics: Mobility (July 2016), Robotics: Computational Motion Planning (June 2016), Robotics: Aerial Robotics (May 2016), and Machine Learning by Andrew Ng (May 2014).
