Amanda Burns has had a diverse work experience. Amanda started their career in 2007 as a Lead Teacher at Scottsdale Child Care and Learning Center and worked there until 2013. In 2014, they joined Colas Construction as an Administrative Assistant and worked their way up through various roles, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Payable & Project Coordinator, Project Administrator, and Project Accountant II. Amanda is currently working at Colas Construction as a Project Accountant II.

Amanda Burns obtained their Associate of Arts (AA) degree from Paradise Valley Community College between the years of 2006 and 2009. Amanda later pursued a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University from 2009 to 2011. In addition to their formal education, they obtained the certification of "Procore Certified: Associate" from Procore Technologies in December 2015.
