John Wards

John Wards has a solid work experience in the technology industry. From 2023 to the present, they have served as the Chief Technology Officer at Colateral. Prior to that, from 2021 to 2023, they worked as the Head of Engineering/CTO at The Body Coach, where they built and led the internal technology team. From 2019 to 2021, John served as the Head of Software Engineering at The Economist, where they managed multiple teams and successfully delivered various projects. From 2015 to 2019, they held roles at Elsevier, including Software Engineering Manager and eCommerce Development Team Lead. At TripAdvisor, from 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Development Manager, leading a team and adding new features to established products. From 2007 to 2014, John worked at White October, initially as a Web Developer and later as the Technical Director, responsible for team leadership and technical decision-making. Additionally, they had a role as the Director of White October Events, where they organized and curated conferences. Prior to that, from 2002 to 2007, they worked as a Business/Website Developer at DURHAM ASSOCIATES GROUP LIMITED.

From 1999 to 2002, John Wards attended Robert Gordon University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computers and Information.
