David Chen, Ph.D., is an R&D physicist focused on quantum sensors with over 17 years of experience in developing advanced laser, electronic, and optical systems for both scientific and industrial research. They held the position of Light-microscopy specialist at The Rockefeller University, where they collaborated on commercializing multi-photon microscopes and led significant design and troubleshooting initiatives. Currently, they serve as a Senior Quantum Physicist at Infleqtion, after their role at Intelligent Imaging Innovations (3i) as a lead engineer on new laser microscope development. David earned dual Bachelor’s degrees in Physics and Electrical Engineering, both summa cum laude, from Universidad de Chile, followed by a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
