William Clark

VP of Quantum Development at ColdQuanta

Dr. Clark is Vice President of Quantum Development at ColdQuanta. He comes from General Dynamics Mission Systems, where he was a Senior Engineering Fellow, and the Founder and Director of the Quantum Laboratory and Quantum Center of Excellence, where he explored the practical use of quantum technologies for secure and covert communications, remote sensing and signal processing.

William has more than two decades of industry experience in Systems design, development and integration of next-generation tactical and strategic communications systems, including software-defined radio and networking technologies, and active and passive sensing systems on space, airborne, ground, maritime and subsurface platforms. He also served as the Chairman of the Quantum Economic Development Consortium (QED-C) Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) for Quantum Computing, Communications, Security and Sensing.

William earned his Ph.D. in Theoretical Atomic, Molecular and Optical (AMO) physics from the University of Colorado, Department of Physics and the JILA Quantum Physics Institute in Boulder, Colorado in 1998.
