Helping Private Clubs Enhance the Member Experience

Overview
Colin Burns Consulting collaborates with private clubs, their General Managers, and Boards to enhance their understanding of the Member Experience and how it influences long-term Member satisfaction and their use of the Club.
Clubs dedicated to excellence understand that the Member Experience is continually evolving, and they are proactive about exceeding expectations. As a former private club manager with decades of leadership experience, Colin offers a distinctive blend of operational insight, leadership perspective, and member-focused thinking in every engagement.

Our Perspective
Even the most respected clubs can, at times, experience a disconnect between what they believe they are delivering and what members are actually experiencing. Recognizing and addressing this gap is not a criticism—it’s a powerful opportunity for growth and long-term relevance.

Experience You Can Trust, Insight You Can Use
Larger firms often bring structure, analytics, and industry research—but what they may lack is firsthand, real-world experience managing the complexities of a private club. I’ve spent my career inside clubs, not just studying them. I understand the rhythms, the relationships, the expectations, and the pressures that don’t always show up in data or models.
When you work with me, you’re not getting a generalized report from a distant team. You’re getting someone who has sat in your seat, solved the problems you're facing, and led at the highest levels of the private club world. I know how to translate insights into action—practical, achievable changes that work within your culture, not against it.
My goal isn’t to impress you with theory. It’s to help your club improve the Member Experience in ways that are lasting, meaningful, and aligned with who you are.

Our Approach
Colin approaches each engagement with empathy, clarity, and a deep respect for the work club leaders do.
