Brad Porter

Founder and CEO at Collaborative Robotics

Brad Porter has a wealth of work experience, beginning at Netscape in 1996, where they developed a VRML language extension to speed visibility culling in Netscape's Live3D and a backend web server template language for rapid generation of My Netscape personalized pages. In 1999, they joined Tellme Networks as their fifth employee, taking on a Director of Engineering role, where they were responsible for platform architecture, implementation of core VoiceXML platform, and VoiceXML standards evolution.

From 2007 to 2020, Brad worked at Amazon, where they held the role of Vice President and Distinguished Engineer, focusing on robotics and the deployment of over two-hundred thousand robots. Brad served as the Director of eCommerce Platform Architecture & Sr Principal Engineer and the Director of Website Platform Development in addition to their main role.

Most recently, Brad took on the role of Chief Technology Officer at Scale AI in 2020, doubling the engineering organization, acquiring two companies, and expanding to over a dozen category-leading products.

Currently, they are the Founder and CEO of Collaborative Robotics, working to redefine human-robot interaction and create a world where robots are a trusted extension of our surroundings.

Brad Porter received their Masters of Engineering in Computer Science (6-3) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as their Bachelor's degree in the same field.
