Rich Able has worked in the medical field for over 15 years. Rich began their career as a researcher for The Research Foundation of CUNY. Rich then worked as an astrophysical computation intern for NASA Ames Research Center. After that, they worked as a medical director for US Medical Affairs for Sanofi Genzyme. In this role, they were responsible for the clinical and commercial development of Aubagio in MS, strategic alignment and executions of activities related to investigator and expert outreach, investigator sponsored trials, company sponsored non-registration trials, publication planning, CME, grants, sponsorships. Rich then worked as a director for Global Medical Lead - Neuroscience for Shire. In this role, they were responsible for the development and implementation of the global medical strategy for neuroscience products in alignment with the business unit strategy. Rich is currently working as an advisor for the Collaborative Trajectory Analysis Project.
Rich Able's educational career includes a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from The Graduate Center, City University of New York, an MA in Biochemistry from The City College of New York, and a B.A. in Biology from Cheyney University of Pennsylvania. Rich also has a Certification in Nanofabrication Manufacturing Technology from Penn State University and a Diploma in Visual Arts from The Creative and Performing Arts.
