College Internship Program (CIP)
Gemma Jerez M.A. is a Student Support Specialist at the College Internship Program, where support is provided to young adults in developing life skills and achieving academic success since October 2020. Previous roles include serving as an Academic Advisor at CareerVillage.org, a Special Education Assistant at Riverview Middle School, and an Academic Coach at Saint Mary's College of California, where student support encompassed academic advising and personal counseling. The College Internship Program (CIP) has been helping young adults on the autism spectrum and with learning differences find success in college, employment, and independent living in our centers across the US since 1984. The College Internship Program is the result of strategies we have developed over 35 years spent working with hundreds of young people on the spectrum - Helping them develop the self-knowledge and skill sets to live productive and happy lives.
