CollegeBound Foundation

CollegeBound works exclusively in Baltimore City public schools to enable students to pursue a postsecondary education. A secondary goal is to improve the social and economic fabric of the community through an educated workforce. Since 1988, CollegeBound’s nationally recognized college advising model has transformed the lives of tens of thousands of high school students. Alumni credit their College Access Program Specialists and the highly individualized college advising program with their success. Originally a part-time, pre-college effort in fewer than five schools, CollegeBound now employs and trains seventeen full-time college advisors who work year-round on-site in 21 Baltimore City public high schools. CollegeBound maintains an annual scholarship and grant portfolio valued at $3 million and awards over $200,000 annually through the need-based Last Dollar Grant Program for Baltimore City public school graduates. CollegeBound currently supports over 600 Baltimore City public school graduates pursuing a college degree through scholarships, grants, and the College Completion Program, an intensive support model that follows students every step of the way to a college degree.
