Tom de Jong, SIOR, is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the self-storage industry, currently serving as Executive Vice President of the de Jong | Becher Self Storage Team at Colliers International since September 2007. Under Tom de Jong's leadership, the team has successfully managed over $2 billion in sales transactions, showcasing 18 years of industry expertise in acquisitions, dispositions, and site selection for self-storage developers nationwide. Prior to this role, Tom de Jong was a Principal at Allstate Insurance Company, earning accolades such as Rookie of the Year in 2002 and membership in the Chairman's Inner Circle in 2003. Tom de Jong also founded and served as President of CAW Products Inc., leading the company until its acquisition in 2000. Educationally, Tom de Jong holds an MBA from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from California State University - East Bay.
