Sanjay Dalal has over 20 years of experience in software engineering. In 1998, they began their career as a Staff Software Engineer at BEA Systems, Inc., where they conceptualized and designed Common Services for AquaLogic Service Bus (ALSB) and WebLogic Integration (WLI). Sanjay then moved on to Senior Software Engineer and implemented the WLI security model for transport and message level security, PKI services for certification verification, credential store and hierarchical policy-based access control. Sanjay also designed BEA's Business Transaction Protocol (BTP) and XML Open Collaboration Protocol (XOCP), and represented BEA on the OASIS Business Transactions committee.
In 2006, Sanjay founded Streametics, a company that enabled manufacturers to improve gross margin through superior channel monitoring. Sanjay was awarded an NSF SBIR grant for R&D for an event processing engine to use for brand protection using RFID. In 2008, they became the Technical co-founder of qMedicus, Inc., a diagnostic and referral management multi-tenant software service for small and medium sized primary care providers.
In 2009, Sanjay worked as a Web Services Developer for CollectionSpace, an open, flexible and scalable collections management solution. Sanjay then moved on to ViVOtech (acquired by Sequent) as Senior Director of Software Engineering, where they hired a dev team and helped build a new QA team. In 2012, they became Principal of Wavelety LLC, a Social Media Analytics platform.
In 2014, Sanjay was a Consultant Enterprise Architect for PayPal as a Service (PPaaS) platform. Sanjay was the lead author of PayPal's RESTful API Design Standard and external API Design Guidelines. In 2015, they founded Colligso, a platform to create and cultivate digital customer relationships. In 2018, they became a Senior Software Consultant at Apple, where they created internal RESTful API guidelines based on industry standards.
Sanjay Dalal has a diverse educational background. In 2009, they earned certificates from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business in the Berkeley Executive Leadership Program and Product Management. In 1999, they obtained certificates from Stanford University in Transaction Processing Concepts and Techniques and Internet Security & Applied Cryptography. In 1997, they earned a certificate from the University of California, Berkeley in Concurrent Object Oriented Network Programming with CORBA and Java. Sanjay also holds a BE in Electronics and Communications from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.
