Tim Cairns is a copywriter and creative director who has worked for some of the top advertising agencies in the world, including Wieden + Kennedy, BBDO New York, and R/GA. Tim is currently the VP, Creative Director at COLLINS.

Cairns got their start in the industry in 2001, when they were hired as a copywriter at Clemenger BBDO in their native Australia. Tim quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a senior copywriter and then moving to Publicis Mojo in 2004. In 2006, they made the move to DDB Sydney, where they spent four years as a senior copywriter before joining The Monkeys in 2010.

At The Monkeys, Cairns helped create award-winning campaigns for brands like IKEA, Parmalat, Google, Foxsports, and Pacific Brands. In 2013, they joined Wieden + Kennedy as a senior creative, working on Grey Goose and Bacardi. Tim left W+K in 2016 to join BBDO New York as a creative director, working on Grey Goose and Bacardi once again.

In 2018, Cairns joined Petal as the Executive Creative Director. Tim left Petal in 2022 to join COLLINS as the VP, Creative Director.

Tim Cairns was a top 30 student at AWARD School, an advertising diploma from Macleay College, and a high school certificate from Epping Boys' High School.
