David Trefusis

David Trefusis, currently serving as Chief Actuary and Head of Actuarial at Collinson since January 2022, boasts extensive experience in the insurance and actuarial sectors. Former roles include Chief Risk Officer at NHBC, responsible for capital model development and establishing financial risk functions, and leadership positions at UIA (Insurance) Ltd, where David led actuarial functions and implemented Solvency II requirements. Additionally, David has held various roles focused on risk management and actuarial consultancy, contributing to organizations such as Lane Clark & Peacock and Bank of America. Academically, David holds an MSc in Actuarial Management from Cass Business School and a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics from The Open University, along with designation as a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. David has also actively participated in professional committees, including positions as Chair and Deputy Chair of the Risk Management Research Committee at the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
