Shawn Smith

Shawn Smith, CPA has a substantial work experience in various finance and accounting roles. Shawn is currently working as the Finance Transformation Lead at Collinson since January 2024. Prior to this role, they served as the Controller at Collinson from May 2019 to January 2024.

Before joining Collinson, Shawn worked at Toyota North America as a Manager, New Standards Adoption from July 2018 to April 2019. Shawn then moved on to BearCom as the Corporate Controller from September 2017 to July 2018.

From September 2014 to July 2017, Shawn held the position of Director of Finance and Controller at Vertex Business Services. Before that, they served as the Controller, Assistant Controller, and General Accounting Manager at Vertex Business Services from 2011 to 2014.

Shawn's early career includes working at BDO USA, LLP as an Assurance Manager from October 2010 to September 2011, and as an Assurance Senior Associate from October 2007 to September 2010. Shawn began their professional journey as an Assurance Associate at BDO Seidman, LLP from August 2005 to September 2007.

Shawn Smith, CPA received a B.S. degree in Accounting from California State University, Northridge, where they studied from 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, they attended Venice High school. In 2009, they obtained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the State of Texas.
