The company was founded by Kelley Jorgensen, a web designer who has been building websites since 2009. Growing up in South Dakota, Kelley spent much of her life around Hutterite colonies and developed a deep respect for the communities, their work ethic, and the businesses they operate.

Over time, it became clear that many colony-run manufacturing businesses produce outstanding products but often lack modern websites and digital tools that properly represent their work. Colony Connections was created to change that.

Since 2023, Kelley has worked directly with colony businesses to design professional websites, create product catalogs and marketing materials, and provide ongoing digital support.
