Jens Tornøe

Jens Tornøe is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in research and development within the medical device industry. Currently serving as Head of Surface & Film Materials, Product Design & Engineering at Coloplast since September 2016, Jens leads a team focused on developing advanced polymer materials for medical devices. Prior roles at Coloplast included leading a team of R&D scientists in developing Class III wound care products. Before joining Coloplast, Jens held various positions at NsGene A/S, including Director of Research and Development, where expertise was applied in developing implantable device technology and clinical-grade cell lines. Jens began a research career at Veterinär-Medizinisches Universität in Austria and holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the Technical University of Denmark, alongside advanced degrees from Harvard Medical School and DTU.
