Chief Clinical Operations Officer at Color

Since 2001, Dr. Scott Topper has been working in the field of clinical genetics, with a focus on cancer genetics and genomics. Scott is currently the Chief Clinical Operations Officer at Color, a genomics company that provides DNA testing and counseling services. Prior to their current position, they served as the Head of Clinical Genomics and a Clinical Molecular Geneticist at Invitae from 2013 to 2017. From 2010 to 2012, they were an ABMG Molecular Genetics Fellow at the University of Chicago. From 2005 to 2010, they were a Research Scientist at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Topper received their BS in Biology from Northwestern University in 2001 and their PhD in Cancer Biology from the University of Chicago in 2010.

Scott Topper has a Ph.D. in Genetics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, an M.F.A. in Poetry from the University of Arizona, and a B.A. in English Literature from Washington University in St. Louis. Scott also has certification from the American Board of Molecular Genetics and Genomics in ABMGG Clinical Molecular Genetics, California Laboratory Field Services in California Laboratory Director - Molecular Genetics (CGMB), and New York State Department of Health in New York State Certificate of Qualification (Molecular Genetics).

Their manager is Othman Laraki, CEO & Co-Founder. They work with Howard Rauscher - SVP of Engineering, Kate Botler Kodesh - Chief People Officer, and Caroline Savello - Chief Commercial Officer. Annette Leon - Head of Clinical Reporting, Cynthia Neben - Head of Research Operations report to Scott Topper.
