Stéphane Monté has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering and software development. Stéphane is currently working as a Senior Graphics Engineer at Colorful since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked at NUMECA International for almost 9 years, starting in December 2013. Here, they held the role of Principal Software Engineer in 3D scientific visualizations. Stéphane'sresponsibilities included software development, scientific visualization, ray tracing engine, C++, Python, Qt/QML, Blender, turbulence modeling, and integrating the Ospray rendering engine for scientific visualization. Before joining NUMECA International, Stéphane worked as a PHD Student at Thales Underwater System from November 2010 to December 2013. Stéphane'sresearch focused on evaluating hydrodynamic sound on a towed array and involved expertise in turbulence, acoustics, sound propagation modeling, and CFD simulations. Stéphane also has experience as a Research Intern at Laboratoire Mécanique des Fluides et d’Acoustique in 2009, where they gained expertise in PIV and heat transfer measurements, as well as CFD simulations of stratified turbulent flows.

Stéphane Monté's education history begins in 2008 when they obtained a Bachelor's degree (L3) in Science of matter from the École normale supérieure de Lyon. In 2009, they pursued further education by attending the Pierre and Marie Curie University, where they obtained a Master's degree (M2) in Physics and applications. Concurrently, in the same year, Stéphane also pursued a Master's degree (M2) in the Science of the matter from École normale supérieure de Lyon.
