Joie Whitmon is a sophomore at Spelman College, majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Mathematics. Currently, Joie serves as a fellow in multiple initiatives, including the IBM-HBCU Quantum Center and ColorStack, while also mentoring with Girls Who Code. Joie's prior experience includes internships at Meta, where they developed a digital equity platform, and various roles in IT and cybersecurity. Committed to advancing diversity in STEM, Joie leverages their background in classical ballet to apply discipline and focus to technology pursuits.
