Chaz Hyseni

Chaz Hyseni is a Senior Computational Scientist (Genomics) at Colossal Biosciences, where they focus on the distribution of genetic variation in natural environments. Since 2006, Chaz has conducted research in Population Genetics, utilizing empirical data and spatial eco-evolutionary modeling. They are currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Biology at the University of Mississippi, studying the eastern subterranean termite in the Appalachian Mountains, with a focus on genetic variation and adaptive evolution. Previously, Chaz held postdoctoral positions with the U.S. Forest Service and Uppsala University, as well as teaching roles at the University of Mississippi. Their extensive background includes work with various institutions, including Yale University and Cornell University, contributing to diverse research projects in ecology and genetics.
