Chris Klee

Chris Klee serves as the Executive Vice President of Design at Colossal Biosciences, focusing on innovative genetic science to revive extinct species like the Woolly Mammoth since January 2024. Previously, Chris held the role of Chief Design Officer at Hypergiant from October 2017 to January 2024, where responsibilities included building a design team for AI technology in Space, Defense, and Critical Infrastructure and acting as Lead Product Owner for the Air Force's CBC2 Common Battle Management Interface. Chris has also contributed to academia as a professor at The University of Texas at Austin, teaching design in the context of Artificial Intelligence. Additional experience includes design leadership positions at Fjord, Chaotic Moon Studios, and VML, alongside early roles at Bernstein-Rein Advertising and Gear for Sports. Chris earned a B.F.A. in Visual Communications with a minor in Art History from The University of Kansas.
