Jorgen Nelson

Jorgen Nelson is a Senior Scientist in Computational Protein Engineering at Colossal Biosciences. Previously, Jorgen held positions as a Senior Scientist at Neoleukin Therapeutics, and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Washington's Institute for Protein Design. Jorgen's work focuses on computational design and experimental evolution of synthetic antiviral influenza-binding proteins, with a particular emphasis on protein stability and its impact on function. Jorgen holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Genome Sciences/Genomics from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from Rice University.
