Glen Yates

The foundation for a strong work ethic was acquired growing up on a farm in Northern Alberta Canada, where Glen was raised. As a Construction Engineer graduate from Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, he began his career by getting experience in the field as a site laborer in the United States. Viewing every experience as an opportunity to learn and grow, he quickly moved through the ranks to “General Manager of Framing Operations” to President and CEO. With an impressive vision and ability to recognize talent and encourage growth, there is no question how Glen acquired majority ownership of Colt Builders in just over a decade after starting his construction career. Holding strong importance on quality time with his wife and kids, he also refuels with an appreciation for hiking, snow skiing, & water skiing. While these activities come with a healthy level of intensity, Glen takes his driven nature to another level with obstacle races, and even marathon running. He has built around him a company of integrity and excellence, where he continues to build and inspire his team of professionals.
