In 1996, a group of seasoned entrepreneurs and restaurateurs combined more than sixty years of restaurant and real estate experience to create a new kind of steak house—one where anyone could walk in, feel at home, relax, and enjoy great food and genuine hospitality. That vision became Colton’s Steak House & Grill, a concept built around quality, fun, and the welcoming spirit of the American West.

After developing the concept, the founders established what is now Colton’s Restaurant Group, Inc. (CRG), the franchisor behind the brand. The first Colton’s opened in August 1996 in Conway, Arkansas.

Today, every Colton’s Steak House & Grill operates as a franchise, with locations across Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Tennessee. The current CRG owners also hold an interest in more than half of the restaurants in operation.

With a broad menu, exceptional service, and a casual Western atmosphere, Colton’s continues to grow while staying true to the mission that started it all—serving great food with genuine hospitality.
