Brian Wang

Brian Wang has extensive work experience in the tech industry. Brian is currently a founding member at Column, where they are responsible for building the infrastructure bank. Their role involves designing and implementing various systems, including international wire systems, account reporting systems, and KYC/KYB manual review systems. Prior to this, Brian worked as a Software Engineer at Facebook from 2019 to 2021. Brian also served as a Senior Software Engineer at Affirm, Inc. from 2015 to 2019. Earlier in their career, Brian worked as a Research Scientist at Facebook from 2014 to 2015. Brian Wang earned a BEng in Computer Science from Harbin Institute of Technology from 2002 to 2006. Brian then pursued a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in Computer Science at City University of Hong Kong, completing the program from 2007 to 2009. Subsequently, from 2009 to 2013, Brian obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Maryland.
